Juicy, juicy, cloudy NEIPA, aromas of tropical fruits, maracuja, citrus and pine. Hazy Coins is a typical representative of a beer style that originated surprisingly in Vermont, USA. Vermont is a state located in the northeastern United States, in the New England region of the northeastern United States. Originally there was an interest in naming the beer after the place, hence Vermont IPA, but New England, somewhat illogically, caught on well and quickly with the public.
It is not recognized as an official beer style by the Brewers Association (BA). Instead, beer styles with names like Juicy or also Hazy were recognized in 2018. This created official tasting competition categories: Juicy or Hazy Pale Ale, Juicy or Hazy India Pale Ale, and Juicy or Hazy Imperial or Double India Pale Ale. However, the controversy surrounding this beer style doesn't end with the name.
The beer is ideally served at a temperature of 10 - 13°C
